Maths (Shape, Space & Measure)

Alongside personalised learning goals (PLG), pupils will be learning about various aspects of shape, space and measure.

This will include days of the week (accompanied with Makaton signing), ordering sizes, weight and capacity of objects and learning to measure and record measurements in various different ways.

PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education)

Once again, we will be covering various subjects relating to personal hygiene during our PSHE lessons. Our pupils will be covering specific subjects and gradually adding to their own personal wash bags that they will be able to take home at the end of term and practise using at home.

RSE (Relationships & Sex Education)

During Term 6, our pupils will start to learn about various aspects of relationships and sex education.

Please keep a look out for a letter that will be sent home during the first couple of weeks of term.

This letter will provide more details as to what will be covered.

Key Dates and other information

Wednesday 9th June 2021

As 'Kids Day Out' is sadly unable to take place this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are very fortunate to be able to enjoy 'Kids Day In' which has been made possible thanks to Thornbury Rotary Club.

Our 'Kids Day In' will include the secondary classes participating in a large art project and a virtual bird watching session with the staff based at Slimbridge. The staff at Slimbridge will also be setting a challenge for our classes to complete.

P.E will take place on Wednesdays - Please ensure your child comes to school in their P.E kit or has a full P.E. in school ready to change in to before our P.E lesson

**Please note that no P.E will take place on Wednesday 9th June 2021 but will take place on Monday 7th June 2021 instead**
