Term 2

Welcome back to a chilly Term 2!

We have lots of new and exciting learning to enjoy throughout the term, making our way towards our Christmas celebrations.

Curriculum overview

This term we will be exploring our new topic, 'Fighting Fit', for the first 5 weeks, with the remaining 2 weeks of term slowly building up to the Christmas celebrations.

As mentioned above, our new topic this term is 'Fighting Fit', which will include learning all about those very important body changes as we get older.

We will be focused on changes that our bodies experience and how to keep our bodies as healthy as possible.

In science, we will be learning all about 'Animals and Humans' and this will include looking at the many differences and similarities between animals and humans.

Our books for this term are 'Harry Miller's Run' by David Almond and 'A Piece of Cake' by Jill Murphy.

In PHSE, we will be mixing up with members from Diamond class and learning about personal hygiene and why it is so important.

We will also be learning about self-image and the importance of feeling happy to be the amazing people that we are!

Feel Good Friday

Our 'Feel Good Friday' activities will continue to take place in our bubbles until Term 3.

We are hoping that from Term 3 onwards (depending on Covid-19), we will be able to join all our pupils on the Secondary site together, allowing for us to once again enjoy 'Feel Good Friday' as a whole school.
