A huge welcome to the new school year. We are very excited to be back and to have your student as part of Team Diamond.
This term our topic is 'Friendship'.
We will be focused on what it means to be part of Diamond Class and our local community, be that New Siblands School or outside of school. With the changes that a new school year brings and also coming out of lock down measures, we will focus on identifying and managing our emotions.
Our books for this term are 'On Sudden Hill' by Linda Sarah and 'The Robot and the Bluebird' by David Lucas.
In PHSE, we will be looking at how connecting with other people is an essential part of our lives. We will explore relationships and ensuring that they are healthy.
Once a week in Diamond class we practice life skills using the Talentino programme and also cook weekly in the school bungalow. The bungalow has a fully equipped kitchen. More details will be sent home when we have an agreed morning. At the moment, it is pencilled in for a Thursday morning. This may change.
