Mental Health and Wellbeing

We are all aware of the importance of taking care of our physical health, so let’s get talking about our mental health, ensuring people are aware that taking care of our wellbeing is just as important.

At New Siblands, not only do we understand the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing for our pupils, we also feel it is just as important to ensure our pupils’ families are supported mentally and emotionally, equipping them to further support their children's emotional wellbeing at home.

With this in mind, we have produced some pages dedicated to parents/carers and how best to support their child’s emotional wellbeing. We have also created a page to highlight the importance of how our pupils’ families can also look after their own mental health and wellbeing.

The pages are titled 'Looking after your own mental health' and 'Supporting your child's mental health and wellbeing'. These can be found at the right hand side of this page.

We hope the resources, links to recommended agencies and advice are of some value to you.

Is there something you are looking for but struggling to find?

Please contact our Pupils’ Mental Health and Wellbeing Lead, Krissy Emery, if you require support for something in particular but unable to find it using the resources and links we have provided on our ‘Mental Health and Wellbeing’ or ‘Social Emotional and Mental Health’ pages.
