Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance
Even though students would have been accessing our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance curriculum from Year 8, things gain greater focus in Post 16 as students begin to focus on what they would like to do when they leave New Siblands.
We are committed to ensuring that students are supported to make informed realistic decisions and to choose pathways that suit their interests and abilities.
We aim to raise aspirations, challenge stereotypes and encourage students to consider a wide range of careers. Through carefully planned careers education and guidance and a clear and structured employability pathway, it is hoped that students will be encouraged to go on to further learning, supported internships, apprenticeships or into employment.
Jonathan Troy is our Careers and Transitions Advisor, and is a resource that not every local school has access to. He works at New Siblands on a Tuesday and regularly works with students and supports them in their decision making.
Our commitment to Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance can be found by reading our policy from the 'Policies Page'.
