Around the School

New Siblands School caters for learners aged 2 – 19 who have severe learning disabilities (SLD) or profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).    In addition, learners may have autistic spectrum conditions, hearing / visual impairments or physical disabilities.

We are housed on two sites in purpose built buildings.   Our facilities include:

  • A building shared with a mainstream primary:  Gillingstool Primary School
  • Spacious classrooms, with a separate small workroom.  Each classroom has ceiling hoists.
  • Wide corridors, lifts and secure doors
  • Outdoor learning areas
  • Sensory studios
  • Secure play areas
  • Sensory diet area
  • Swimming/Hydrotherapy pool
  • Life skills room

Classes at New Siblands are small and may contain pupils with a wide range of learning needs.  We have a highly skilled staff team who are committed to meeting the needs of each learner.  We strive to support pupils to be part of a vibrant and stimulating environment.
