A lot has happened over a short space of time with E Safety at New Siblands. Our staff training day in September saw the introduction of our new E Safety Curriculum, which has been designed to work alongside our current PSHE curriculum.
Students in the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2 will get the building blocks for a sound E Safety education through exploring the many themes of the PSHE curriculum. Upper Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Post 16 will get their PSHE education supplemented with additional focused and specific E Safety topics.
The E Safety Curriculum will further be supplemented with three E Safety weeks. The exact dates are to be confirmed but will take place as follows:
Term 3 – Cyber bullying and getting help
Term 5 – Sharing information and your digital footprint
(Each of the above is a link. Please follow to see what the school has been up to on each week)
Our E Safety Charter was created by the School Council and provides our students with clear guidance on how to use ICT safely at school.
We will update the E Safety Hub periodically and inform you of updates via the School Newsletter and Text Messaging Services.
