The Friends of New Siblands School is a registered charity (800478) in Thornbury, Bristol and is an entirely voluntary organisation supporting the education of disabled children who live in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
The friends of New Siblands school committee consists of four elected roles: Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. We also have other general committee members to make up the full team. The Committee meet on a regular basis, at least twice a term, with smaller working groups meeting as necessary to organise the larger, more complex events like the Summer Fayre.
Our Mission Statement
Our aims are to develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school and to engage in activities or provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. Our vision is to cultivate a vibrant and strong community spirit, with robust support networks for the children and young people and their families and carers.
As a Charity we must abide by Charity Commission rules and regulations and we are bound by a constitution. Our constitution sets out rules about how we operate as a friends association and how we conduct ourselves. Our constitution can be read here
